Good Morning Watershed Explorers,
I decided to take a little break from the critter spotlight this week. If you have ideas for a post on an animal that you would like to learn about, please email me at cmorissette@narrabay.com
My girls and I created some really cool art pieces this week that I thought might be fun for you to try. We made signs of our names using nature objects. Here is a picture of how they turned out.
We spend almost every afternoon in nature. When we are out we like to collect items that we find and create boxes, or containers of them. We have acorn tops, stones, shells, pinecones, and sticks. We just started gathering some wildflowers to press as well. There are so many wonderful projects that you can create with objects from nature.
We completed these pieces on old cardboard from the back of sketchbooks and a piece of card-stock folded in half. We did have to hot glue the objects onto the paper, so you may need an adult to help you with that part.
I hope that some of you will try this activity and send me photos of your work. I would love to post them in a future blog.
Happy Exploring Watershed Scientists,
Mrs. Morissette
